This is a sample essay on Bollywood movies describing their influence on young people with some examples.
Today, everybody watches Bollywood movies and they spend time and energy going to Cineplex and buy tickets to gratify their senses but is it really worth to do so? I do not think so and here are a few reasons to state this.
Unfortunately, there is a great influence of Bollywood stars today in our life and especially youngsters live a life which is swayed by fantasies and whims which come from their favorite Bollywood movies and Bollywood stars. For example, they will have a complete idea of what was Salman’s dialogue and style in Bajrangi Bhaijan but they will have no idea about what Swami Vivekananda says about life. And this condition is not so blameless and worthwhile. We as the citizens of our nation India should do something about it and try to change it. But again the question is “Do we really want to do anything about it?”
The Bollywood has taught our children to use abusive language, to use slang, to live in an unrealistic dream world, to be misbehaving and disobedient, to be more shameless, etc. – and the list is endless.
At the same time, the Bollywood industry keeps on flourishing on our hard-earned money very much like the cricket 20-20 matches of India. The Bollywood movies sold around 2.6 billion tickets which is a really big number even more than the Indian population and not to talk about the great Tollywood here.
